Clackmannanshire Council aims to be open and accountable at all times, and clear and effective communication with the media can play a large part in achieving that aim.
The Council’s media relations are handled through the Communications and Marketing Unit.
The team is also responsible for web design and management, graphic design, corporate identity, marketing, publications & print and crisis management.
There is a thriving local news scene, with as many as five newspapers covering the area. The three main local newspapers are the Alloa Advertiser, Wee County News and Stirling Observer. Papers like the Courier, Press and Journal, Scotsman, Herald and various tabloids cover the area. There is a BBC online reporter for the area while the local radio station is Central FM.
