Clackmannanshire offers some of the best terrain in Scotland for outdoor activities. The Ochil Hills are a great location for the growing sport of hill running due to the grassy terrain, open ground, stunning views on a clear day and sheer variety of both steep and gently sloping routes available. With a myriad of cycle paths and routes across the county, including the national cycle ‘Route 76 Round the Forth’. Families particularly enjoy cycling around Gartmorn Dam, or along the Devon Way, while the Ochil Hill routes attract the most adventurous of mountain bikers. Firpark Ski Centre, Tillicoultry, offers a range of snow sport activities throughout the year on its 120 metre dry ski slope, these include skiing, snowboarding and blading for people of all ages and abilities.
